1. What kind of work can I expect at Adobe?

As a Developer at Adobe you would have complete ownership of the component that has been given to you starting from Research, Design, Coding, Debugging, Delivery and Maintenance.
As a Quality Engineer you would interact with the developers and have hands on responsibility for generating test plans and executing test cases for the specific functionality assigned to you. You would be responsible for performance conformance for that specific functionality.

2. Will I get overseas exposure?

The Adobe India campuses work on various Adobe products and technology components in partnership with other Adobe development centres around the world. This partnership may involve business related trips to other Adobe offices. These would be need based and generally would be of a short-term nature. In addition, we take up to 20% of our technical team to the Adobe Technical Summit every year.

3. What is Adobe India’s Development Centre Model?

Adobe India is NOT an offshore development center where work is outsourced. It is a Development centre, which has teams working on various features of the main product in partnership with the other development centers. The level of ownership enjoyed by the teams is different for each product line.

1. Once selected, what are the relocation options offered by Adobe India?

Adobe offers an attractive relocation policy for those from outside the Region, which may include the following:

One month of basic salary. (Two months of basic for married employees)
One-way airfare or 2ndAC train fare for the employee and family
14 days accommodation in Adobe specified list of hotels/guesthouses
Brokerage charges equivalent to one month’s rent
Assistance in finding rental accommodations.

Recruiting Process

1. Is Adobe recruiting in India?

Yes. Adobe India has aggressive recruitment plans and is planning to recruit more than 300 people over the next year.

2. What is the recruiting process at Adobe’s India campus?

The recruitment process consists of a series of tests followed by interviews. The tests consist of an aptitude and quantitative test for all positions and technical tests related to the specific functional area. For example, a person applying for a development position would need to sit for an engineering, C and C++ test.

Candidates who qualify in the test may be called for interviews. The final candidate is selected based on the outcome of the interviews.

3. Do outstation candidates have to come to Noida and Bangalore for the tests?

Besides our offices, we have facilities to test candidates at different locations, which include the following: Pune, Chennai and Hyderabad.

While we mostly fly in candidates to our Noida and Bangalore offices for interviews, we do occasionally go to various locations and take interviews.
